Where her work is actually located and how far she's willing to commute is going to dictate which area you live in. To commute from one side of Dallas to the other can be anywhere from 40 to 60 miles one way. If she works in Garland, living on Ray Hubbard in Rockwall is no problem, but if she works in Irving the commute from there would be tough. Although, running the toll roads with a toll tag its not necessarily a bad drive, just a bit long.
No matter where you decide to settle, its a good idea to stay north of I-30. ;)

It would be hard to go wrong anywhere on the northwest side of Dallas, in that case. DFW and the commercial parks around it are easily accessible. Any of the citys/towns around Grapevine lake are nice. I just finished 10 months of working on site at DFW, and I love this general area.

We just moved to Dallas from Minnesota. You are in luck the lake levels are extremely high now. Jet boats are really big down here. They have a really good club and get out regularly. It would be great to have another outboard. I'm way out numbered. We live in Prosper (Northern Suburb). In 30-40 minutes I can be on Ray Roberts, Louisville, Ray Hubbard or Lavon.
