This has made it around the site on a couple of occasions and you are right, it is mind boggling. How about at 1:19 where they show the 2.5 power head - "I think it makes about 380hp"!! I'd like to know who the gentleman is and who the interviewer is. A little background would be cool.
He has a few videos of his collection, amazing amazing amazing.

The "interviewee" is Lee Davies, a record-setting tunnel boat racer and former Merc High Performance dealer from Anmore, British Columbia, Canada. He's a member here and I bet he gets a few good chuckles from the number of S&F threads about his garage :)

Yes, its Lee Davies place in Port Moody, British Columbia, Canada. Lee owns Lee's Marine & Mobile Service there. Lee has an incredible Mercury Racing history himself, winning & setting many racing records since the 60's. He raced well into the 1990's & beyond. His/our good friend, Nick Springate, is his interviewer, who has also lived in that same area forever. Lee's handle here, on Scream & Fly, is "COMPRECBRKR". Our own Jackie Wilson, also did a simular video with Lee years back, while visiting Port Moody. Nick as well, has done boat racing history video interviews with Jackie, at his home, in Sete, France.

Wow, thanks for the insights guys. Way, way before I was here on earth but I bet Mr. Davies knows several of the Seattle area OB tunnel crowd. I wonder if he knew or raced with Gerry Walin who passed away in the 70s or knows Ron Anderson who I believe still is in the Washington area working on super high end race stuff. Perhaps Wilbur McDonald builder of Starflite or Gregg McDonald his son.
Very cool background. Thanks for the posts!

Thats ZIP compared that what I just SAW in the "head taking a wiz". Did the damn mistake having the lights on and when turned around I SAW MYSELF in the mirror and DUCKED! Looked back up and still there! Hands and knees out an shut the light off. Went back and now "I'm good looking again"! (think, but I still like my dumbass as being "Gemini "the twins"? Always some "other side me says?..."normal sucks, get stupid". OK!
