Don't know much about that brand although there are quite a few around here. Even before they took over Hess. I know most gas comes out of a central distribution and I see several different names on tankers delivering to stations around here. It's all a crap shoot anyway unless you get gas at the airport and even then there's no real guarantees. I just pay the extra for Non-E which is 89, reduce the timing 2 degrees and get more power anyway.

I get Sunoco GTX 260 non ethanol and cut it w 89 from municiple airport. Good thing xs is only a sipper.. I used to have twin 260s it would cost an arm home refinance and first born for a weekend

You need an octane testing engine, and you can rebuild quite a few engines for the price of one.

I ran into this a few years ago when I stuck #5 piston for what appeared to be no mechanical reason that I could identify. I was using only Amoco premium at the time. I called Amoco in Atlanta just to inquire how I could determine it was actually Amoco premium fuel I was buying when I pulled into an Amoco station. They wouldn't even talk to me. I started using aviation 100 low lead after that and never had another problem. Pump gas is a crap shoot at best.
