Pad width on a V bottom hull?

Does anyone know how to calculate the ideal dimensions of what a pad should be on a pad bottom V hull?

I have a 20ft Lake and Bay with a 300xs that runs a top speed of 104 mph. FreezeFrame took some nice photos it running full out and it seems a little deep in the water to me. I suspect the 6 inch wide pad is not wide enough.

IMO it would be a waste of time to change the hull since you have the fastest lake and bottom I have ever heard of since the start of the company....jm2cts....
