OK, I grew up with high speed boats, beit a Gambler, Mirage Wildcat or Triad DR20. Prop choices are easy there...pick my prop based on what I need it to do, send it to Steve Tillman to make it better and go fast....So the problem. My first slow boat, a '95 Stratos with an OMC 'Rude 150. Last fishing trip was a rough one, blew a headgasket, burned up the starter, and busted the prop. Currently I run a 22p Raker 1. Not bad but I feel about 3 mph slow, I run 57 on GPS. So, its time for a new prop, however Im lost on what would run best. With what I had boat came out of the water like a rocket, did not so much like me laying it out there trimmed out. I can afford to give up a little bit of holeshot for a few more mph on top end. So I am in between a 24p raker 2 and 24 mercury trophy. Any suggestions?
