1996 200 XL 2.5 Mercury Carbureted 25" Shaft 1.87:1 gears

Motor runs flawless, is stock and has approximately 200 hours on it, erring on the high side. Hour meter was broke for two seasons, showed 167 when I repowered.
Bobs low water nose cone. All cylinders between 120 and 125.
Premixed - oil injection never connected from Factory.
Lower unit oil changed yearly along with impeller.

When it was on my 1995 Apache I was running a Mercury 4 blade 21 pitch, speed 62 on GPS with full fuel 2 people water toys etc. Cruises 50-55 with 4 people, 3/4 fuel, cooler etc.
Fresh and occasionally brackish water since it left FL. 1 time saltwater in Va Bch, always flushed.

More photo's soon.

$3250.00 you pay shipping. Motor currently resides near Annapolis, MD.

Do you recall what RPM the boat was at 62 mph full throttle, and what it was at 50-55 cruise?

It seems like your cruise speed is quite close to the top speed, so wondering how much
difference in RPM we're talking about.

Oh.. and do you have any idea of fuel consumption with that setup?

If I remember correctly those speeds were with the 4 blade trophy 21P. 50 around 5500 and 62 was right at the rev limit. My brother was driving when we hit 62, best I got was 58 on radar run at Tims II.

Wrong prop, it was a Troph Plus 23P.

New price $2750.00, it is a good reliable engine!
