My boat will:
1. bog while in hole at about 7-8mph and acts like it is flooding the more throttle you put in.
2. In cold weather it takes a while to rear it's ugly head. Hot weather, it seems to happen more.
3. Voltage regs do not work, but stator tests good while tested with engine off.

With the heat and the 7-8mph limit, does it sound like high end stator issue arising when hot?

The regulators need to be replaced or you will cook other parts. To test the stator correctly you need peak reading meter or adaptor to make one work with a fluke meter. I like to test with stator wires disconected from everything at cranking speeds on the low side and running on the high side. A service manual will yell you how if you have one. But bad regulators will.fry a stator

Good to know, thank you. To test the high side, do you do it attached to the trailer at the docks, or out on the water?

Normally either on the hose or with motor in a drum at my shop

Copy. I removed the Throttle position sensor while removing black boxes. Is that correct?
Also, I ordered 2 new CDI regs yesterday. I'll install them prior to running again.

No. you need the tps. Will run like **** without it. I think the correct voltage at idle is .250. I usually set them to what the motor likes.

Found one problem then :) Frick. I will hook it back up and run the TPS adjustment checklist.
