SOLD - Thanks S&F!
Performance – It does exactly what a Euro with a 280 is supposed to do. Last time out with me, wife, ½ tank fuel and all our stuff went 114 gps mph at 8,500 rpm on limiter with 30ET (12% slip). Boat averages 4.2 mpg no matter how it is run.

Engine – 2005 Mercury 2.5L 280 Offshore, (original consumer ECU but rev limiter has been raised to 8,500 rpm), 30 hours since JSRE rebuild in 2010, 126 hours total, currently 136 psi compression and 4% leak down averages across board (with my gauges), full DDT readouts compression and leak down history available to legitimate buyers, JSRE rebuild at 96 hours included – Air Horn & Reed Plate (20 & 35 degrees) Angle Cut, Case Front Half Machining 0.050", Block Modifications Rod Pockets & Exhaust Ports, Straighten 3 Bores and Hone, Wizard Pistons & Rings Kit RaceKote Thermal Barrier, Wizard Light Piston Capped Top Pins, Wizard Plug Wires Reactive Core, Bearings, Brucato Injector Calibration, TDR Reed Valves, Oil Check Valves (top & bottom), Intake 1” spacer kit, after break in always run on 93 pump gas and Pennzoil Marine 100% Synthetic oil, Sport Master – replaced the prop shaft seals last year, replaced shift shaft bushing assembly with a Mercury/Reynolds Modified couple years ago.
Props (both purchased new and low hours) - Mercury Lightning ET, Lab, 14-1/2" x 30 (5 hours) and Mazco RE 4 - 14-1/4 x 32 (10 hours)
Trailer – 2004 Loadmaster Aluminum, Aluminum Silver Star Wheels, Swing tongue hinge
Extras –
Mercury DDT with V5.0 OB software cartridge and manual and adapter harness and hard case,
Mercury 2.5 EFI/SS/OS Operation/Maintenance Manual, Service Manual and Parts Manual,
Various extra parts (some new) and tools (some new never used) for this boat, engine and trailer collected over the years…..cleaning out the garage.
Condition – I would rate it an 8 out of 10. Everything on it works as it should. Anything broken was replaced. The boat is completely reliable. I have replaced all hoses and most wires since new. It has a few normal wear scratches.
Full Disclosure - Bottom hull has a few scratches on forward sections (1st owner 1st outing low tide parking issue) which does not affect performance in any way, also cover has some wear.
Reason for selling – Wife wants a fishing boat and I don’t want to support two boats. (This is my 4th over 100 mph boat in the last 12 years.)
Boat Location – Muscle Shoals, AL
Price - $27,500 for total package including boat, engine, trailer, props (2), all my extras including DDT.
Contact – Walter Goetzmann (256) 275-2 six two two or wagoetzmann@tva.gov
I’m the 2nd owner. 1st owner (Scott Marquardt) special ordered and purchased from Diamond Marine in 2004 then added the 280 a year later. I purchased from Scott in 2008. I have all original paperwork, full documentation including excel spreadsheet of every item since new which I can send to legitimate buyers. I have documented over $47K in boat.
