Just keep them a tad short of reaching the deck and back.

Yes I do thanks Nelson looks to be about 1/8" shy of reaching the deck I'm sure the same gap on the inside.

This is a 280 with 114 original hours; first time that it has been apart, so this is the way that they were installed at Mercury. 1/8" is about right for inside and outside.

IS there a part # for these diverters? do you know how there secured in place? usracing says there a must for 2.5 with 1 pc adaptor they sure look strange! thanks ART

re-read this thread first ta last.... tells ya all... they just push in.

just my .02 the hose type dont mean squat just make sure they are a 1/4 inch shorter then the depth of the pocket and they are tight they can be colored if you like red blue green now thats not in us1 specs but he will probably let it go


nelson is that some of your 280 port work ?? if so its mighty nice looking

AS long as there snug between walls its just hot water i think any rubber or vinyl hose would do my.02
