These photos are from the Allison 50th Anniversary "Ally Rally" (http://www.screamandfly.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=3088) event in 2005. This is a replica of the very first Allison boat in 1955.
Allison's designs have always been very cutting-edge, and if you view the gallery from this event, you'll know exactly what I mean.

That's the right gallery. The Switzer was at the Ally Rally as well as some other things (like the antique tractor), among the many Allisons. :)

Hard to believe that was ten years ago.
Todd and Darris were installing the windshield and the black deck stripes the day before those pictures were taken. Nothing like last minute touch's.
The boat is hanging on the wall of their show room now.

Lee, I agree - can't believe it was that long ago. Maureen took those photos. I would love to see if there are photos of this boat being built. I wonder if they used original patterns to make it. It's very cool.

I'll ask Darris about build pictures. I'm pretty sure he told me that the original patterns were used.

If I remember correctly, it's a 1995 or '96.

Thanks PT! Lee's right, the boat is a 95. It's in pretty good shape considering it's almost 20 years old already! Hey Lee, you coming to the rally this year?

I'm going to try, depends on work load at the time.

Really unique. Maybe Darris could do a limited run on some reporductions-of course they would be permitted to use wood ;)
