V King fuel tank

I have an original aluminum 18 gal(I think) fuel tank from my 84 V-King. It is in nice shape, no leaks and has mounting tabs and sender. I was going to take it to scrap yard but I hate to do that if someone can use it. $50.00

Did it come from a v bottom or yt? They are different.

The original tanks were 16 gallon, for both V-bottom and YT. The 20-gallon tanks were for XT hulls only, until 1989 we produced a 24-gallon tank for YT and XT hulls. It was a tight fit. We never made an 18 gallon tank.

Its probably 16 then John. It came out of my 84 V king. It was factory

I am not sure. I know John worked at Hydrostream he could probably tell you

it will fit a Vector. The 16g tanks were made for Viper/Vector/Viking, etc. Same tank fit them all.
