How long is a Merc floating prop wrench?

Could anyone with a yellow floating wrench measure the overall length for me please? I want to make sure it will fit into the portable prop and accessory case I'm putting together before I order one.

My yellow floating propwrench must be defective. I tossed it to a friend one time and it sank

Never have tested to see if it really floats, don't think I'll try now that I know it sinks! One thing about these wrenches is you can't really get a high torque tightening your prop nut. They will just deform.

I' used mine once to change props and its deforming so now it's only in the boat for emergency use.

my merc prop wrench is ORANGE came from merc dealer and yes it will sink, they don't say it floats, its just called a prop wrench.
everyone assumes it floats like others that were advertised.
I was very lucky when mine sank, it was in my water tub .
but it does come with a ring on the end so you can put a rope on it and keep it on your wrist.

comes in real handy for whacking idiots at the boat ramp who bump your boat :reddevil:

Broke mine the first time out. Didnt bother replacing it.
