Tohatsu Mega 25

Recently purchased a Tohatsu Mega (2 stroke, 3cyl). Was wondering what factory restrictions were put on them to detune from a 40? It looks like the carbs are opening all the way up but I've had suggestions that they were restricted in the exhaust as well? Thanks for the help

I'm not familiar with the outboard, but know of a guy in Louisiana who used to race Tohatsu.

Never seen one in real life, but I believe the blocks for the 25D (25 Mega), 40d and 50D were all identical. Difference between 40d and 50D was carbs, intake and tuner, wouldn't be surprised if they used the same tactic to restrict the 40 down to a 25.
