No, actually Gerben, I did mean DFI. Notice in the article how they compare the DFI motors to last year's EFI engines and the DFI engines do quite well. Now maybe next year they will be comparing the new 250hp 4 strokes to this year's DFI's.
The only thing that might have made the testing even better would be to have rigged each engine on the same hull and run the exact same prop. Each hull is going to have some variation, and we know that props can make or break an engine/boat combo.

Not trying to be smartass but the link you provide refers to 2 EFI motors tested. looked up the motors on the manufacturers sites and they are listed under EFI motors.

Might misread something, but as far as I can see, these are EFI motors:

I did post the wrong link. I saw this on one of my other message boards and tried to link it, but evidently I linked to last year's test which, as you pointed out, was the EFI engines.
The test I was trying to post was this year's....all about testing the new DFI models.
