How did you judge how much lift you boat had a WOT?

Well Bob with the boat just sitting in the water I could reach up and put the palm of my hand on the bridge. I know the boat is like 10in in the water at rest so I had a full 1/2 a arm for head room. Just sat way low in the seat and put the hammer down. Did not pull my air cleaner off so
must be lots of room. Help's to be a crazy SOB
