1984 mercury mod vp drop on.

for sale is my 84 2.4l Mercury Mod VP powerhead, has approx 10hours since new rings and 1 steel sleeve in #5. this motor ran 98mph on my stv procomp.
wh-39 carbs,
5 pedal glass reeds
crossdrilled intake,
1 piece heads 120psi.
steel 16 amp flywheel
makes around 230 hp, and weighs less than 370 lbs, im sure others know more about this motor than i do..

asking $3000 for drop on, 3500 with a 20" bassmid, modvp gearcase, and clam cowl..

Do you know any good local Muskoka Mercury techs? I have a newly acquired 81 200 Blk Max. Had Carbs redone last year but need lower bushings done and a mechanical look over. Had to buy with my new J without a test drive since it was winterized already and weather was storming.

i go too TopGun marine in Bradford. wont find a better place. i'v also used Mortimers marine in Muskoka they were always helpful too,and I'm pretty handy with a set of wrenches also if you can get parts id help you go over it..

Speed Master Marine ( 905 ) 939-0963 ask for Ted. They by the Newmarket turn off.
