1995 225 Pro Max 2.5 liter, Off shore racing mid section, 2:1 gear ratio 20" lower unit no low water pick up, light weight cowling cover. This motor is very strong. It is original not a rebuild, just to loud for me anymore. I put a 250 EFI in the place of this motor. I miss the tourque and power this motor produces. With the racing mid section for fishing it just does not fit me at this point in life. This motor is the true beginning of a 240, 260, 280 HP. All of the main work is done for you, if you want to go that route. This is in very good condition. I currently am getting my son to show how to put picture of this motor on this site. If you want picture let me know and I will e:mail them. That I know how to do. I am asking 6500.00 for the motor as it is set up. No propeller is ofered. This was turning a 26 pitch with ease. You can contact me: 910-340-0995. Thanks and look forward to talking soon.

I would imagine it would spin a 26p with a 2.1 gear . :smiletest:

Thats a 26 14 3/4 little harder to turn at low end for most even with a 2:1 ratio

What boat were you running it on? And you may try and trade your 2:1 lower for a 1:87 lower unit. 2:1 gear set on a 225 is kinda low and may hurt or slow up it selling.

I know this is an old post, but by chance do you still have this motor? I am in NC and looking a pair of promax outboards to go on my boat in my threads signature.
