I saw one of those down here at a medart show a couple months ago. The one I saw was all plastic. extreme backup prop it felt as light as a baseball. Never did ask how much it was though.

500 bucks, I would have laughed in the guys face if he told me it was 500 bucks for the one I saw. Good grief just go get a high 5 and be done with it.

The thing is being built by some dude that owns his own dealership and makes em. I dont know what they go for new, but the last one on Ebay went for a big huge $30sumpin bucks!!! (and I believe it was brand new still in box) Hell if it half ass works the price is right.
The hub is machined aluminum and the blades are each removable and some sort of composite (doubt this thing would make it much past 5k or so). If you need to change pitch you buy new blades. Hell if I knew how they would work for pullin my 3 year old on a tube, for less than $50 why not? I think the blades are available from about 17" to like 21 or 22".
0-25 oughta be QUICK! But doin 30 at 7k would SUCK, lol.

Just dont raise the gearcase out of the water at the beach or you might get laughed at!

Natural progression from props to fans.
The jets have changed to them - fan jets.
And the turbo props have changed to them - scimitar props.
Eventually you get so many blades that it ends up a solid disk.
