i am supposed to be getting my new one this week from my toolman,when he told me they had a new one comming out with 1000ft/lbs of torque i got wood,and ordered one sight unseen,cant wait to try it out

I got laughed at because uit was plastic, mean while 7 years later and it still kicks ass and out does all the metal ones.

i bought one of those too,back in 93,used(abused) it for four years,then traded it for a snap on 5100,then went to a snap on 6100 ,and now im going back to ingersol,i also have the plastic ingersol 3/4 drive gun,and that has more sack than any 3/4 gun ive ever used

A lot of my stuff is IR. I have had a 231 for 18 years. I am on the second one only because the last one got stolen (along with the rest of my tools and paint guns) about 10 years ago.

You don't happen to have one in a 3/4" drive do you? I need something to take off semi wheels and wheels off of my tractors.

i am a diesel mechanic,and do a lot of big work and would recomend the plastic ingersol mod. 2141 3/4 drive , i love mine and mucho gutso

My 231 keeps going and going and going. A sqirt of 10-W30 motor oil in the line everytime I use it, no problems for 15 yrs. Works great for flywheels :D

the 1/2 and 3/4 IR impacts! The only complaint I have is the little metal covered o ring thingy that holds the sockets on is kind of cheezy but that is only on the 1/2 incher. I've replaced it 2 times already. Otherwise they are some kick ass impacts and low priced!!!! The 3/4 is great for axle mount duals and budd rims on semis.
