Has anyone ever herd of.....

I was wondering if anyone has herd of a Champ XVII by Champion Marine of Miami, FL. It's a 1968 17 foot V-hull runabout that is wide at the bow and narrows out towards the stern. Its seating is set up like a Donzi 16 skisport. It was powered with a 302 Interceptor with a volvo 260 (I'm not to sure if it's 260 or 250, I don't seem to remember). The reason I am asking for anyones help is because my dad has had this boat since the 70's and it hasn't seen the water since because the engine blew up. We finally got an engine and we are planning on making it seaworthy once again. So any help would be great.

Not familiar w/the make or boat, but I bet it would really haul-ass with a roller 302 out of a late model Mustang!! Cheap & easy-bolt in to your exhisting config... ;) Good luck with your project! :cool:
