View Full Version : Need pics & info of 21 skaters w/ twins

I'm thinking of rigging my 21' with twins. Could anyone please post some pics. I would like to see how the motors are mounted to the transom. Are they in the tunnel or behind the sponsons? Also are jackplates used or just setbacks??? PLEASE HELP....THANX

A guy by me has had one for years originally built for twins. they were built different for singles and twins. The conversion involves some fiberglass structural work. His motors are behind the the sponsons and they're mounted on custom fabricated shims because of the curve on the transom (no jackplates). He's running high perf. 2.5 carb offshore motors around 120mph. you can call him for details. Mario 631 226 9617 He maybe busy at the shop so I would suggest asking him when a good time to talk would be.

He's a member. Do a search for his name, read some of his posts, and contact him.

He is very knowledgeable with the 21, and he did a complete resto/conversion from single to twins on his 21.

Racerx how are you? I am thinking of rigging a skater with twins. I have seen pics of your boat and have some questions. What is the length of your tie bar center to center? Also the demention center to center of your prop shafts? How high are the motors off the bottom of the boat? What size props are you running and @ what rpm? Last ? what is the weight of the boat?
