I'm selling a 1989 Evinrude 225 Limited Edition.
This Has add on's from 2nd Effort in Florida when new.
It has on open vent hood and modified air box and has above water exhaust.
This motor has size 73 jets.
Comes with controls and wiring harness
New parts:
Engine was rebuilt 2 years ago and has just over 40 hours on it
1. New timer base
2. New power pack
3. New thermostats
4. New solid forged aluminum motor mounts from Sam Jenkins.
5. New water pump this year
6. New Holly blue electric fuel pump with 2 new rebuild kits.
7. New drive shaft seals in lower unit.
8. New, last year, fuel water seperator
9. New Maroon canvass cover/engine cover
The bad,
Motor ran lean and scored cylinder #3. It was my fault. I had a fuel filter at the engine and the water seperator installed after the pump but didn't think about putting in a fuel filter BEFORE the pump. The pre-screen inside the electric fuel pump got some debris in it, so it couldn't keep up with the fuel. If I would've had that in, It would still be running and enjoying.
There is 90 lbs pressure in all cylinders except #3 has 60 lbs302628Make an offer or If there is a specific part you'd like, let me know.
Thinking about parting out the motor.
