Bump for a nice looking Skater. Any chance you could post some pics on how the rear seat was moved forward? Thinking of moving mine forward.

Thanks,

I tigged up some 5.5" x 2" aluminum box tubing that I made supports accross and under the rear seat, then powdercoated,I wanted more storage and a hatch so. Fabbed that up too, stock placement of the rear seat had way too much real estate behind the front seats it looked like a dance floor. I'll have better pics up in a few days I've just been busy,

Is there anything in particular you want pics of that weren't covered in the link to the boat? Tanks have been done this year with Doug Wright made fuel cells being installed into the hull,I must have left that out on my ad description which was a spendy upgrade..

Sure, I've gotten a lot of interest especially from guys that want to trade 4 wheelers with no titles, broken weed eaters and beanie baby collections,It's like the characters from breaking bad are surfing my craigs list ad at 3:45 am and thinking its a good idea to try and trade me some clapped out "one of a kind" 1982 4 cylinder Camaro...

Timing is everything. I was originally looking for a 24 to replace my old 24 that I've regretted selling. There were none available and I ended up with a 28. After I bought the 28, that was back east, my 24 came up for sale again and it was in the Pacific Northwest. Now this one is for sale and it's in the pacific northwest. Timing is everything because I would have bought either 24 and the cost to get it home would have been far less.
Oh well!

NAVISPEED1
01-01-2015, 08:38 PM
How'd you like the 28? would you go back to a 24?

Tough one.

The 24 is a great boat but no way can take the water conditions a 28 can. I should say at the speeds a 28 can. So depends on where you're boating. If you're on inland waters lakes and rivers the 24 is great. If you're going to be seeing bigger water with rougher conditions the 28 is better.

The newest 24 you're going to find is around 1992 or so. There were a few made after that but very few. I think both boats have the potential tank problems.

24's can be had for less money but will also get less money when it's time to sell.

Towing wise, launching and retrieving the 24 is easier to deal with. I loved my 24 and had a lot of great times in it. Now I love my 28.

If I hadn't found my 28 and was still looking this 24 would be on the list. Timing is everything my old 24 came up a few months ago also. Both boats were in Washington which is way closer to California then New Jersey which is where my 28 came from.

Interesting on my 24 knowing it's history. Originally from east coast, sold and went to Washington, sold and went to California(me), sold and went to Arkansas, sold and went to Wisconsin, sold and went back to Washington, sold and from what I understand is still in Washington. These boats sure do get around!

Don't bother - proceed with caution - not worth the time and aggravation.
There is an outstanding Lien on the boat & trailer that I was willing to pay for in person.
Coordinated the day, Booked flight, set up transporter - was all set to fly to WA and then he's puts me in a group-text with another buyer who decided to outbid me after a price was agreed upon & tells me to work it out him.

Sorry, I don't operate like this - I'm out.

Good Luck Boys - think the offer is at $30k!

That's a good deal if you can buy for anywhere around that money. If I didn't already have a 24 and two other projects in the works, I would work through the hassle to get my hands on it.
