I've done a couple of searches for Mini Boats as one day if my daughter shows enough interest i'll get her one. Does anyone recall any threads like this? Basically where you can purchase one thats in production, or know of any companies that are making mini speed boats. What i'm thinking is something about 10 to 15 feet, depending on what it is. Here are two companies i've found

I know Mr. Demeanor has that beil tunnel but I don't know if there still produced? (hopefully he chimes in on this one):D
I recall a member having a mini one and having like a 225 on it lol. I don't want to do this but I did like the model of the boat.
If you have experience with any of the mini boats i'm talking about with small motors, what kind of speeds are these things capable of?
Once again thank yall fellas for your time!!!!!!!!

There are only 5 Biels built. I know where 4 are and none for sale. Mike Biel is supposed to start building them again but that was a yea or so ago. I got all kinds of info for him and was considering getting in with him on it then he just disappeared. I know some guys have tried to make contact trough his website with no luck but you can always try.

The 15' Allison would be on my list. The Allison and the Biel are the only little boats I have seen successfully run like a bigger boat. The Scat Cats, small offshore looking boats, etc all seem to run pretty poorly. Every time I see one its struggling to get on plane, hopping badly, or wanting to rool over. The only reason the Biel works is its almost square. Very wide for its length.
Im really surprised someone hasnt popped a Biel and added a pickle fork front. It would be a killer looking boat and run well. 60mph with a stock Yamaha 90. No stringers, two bulkheads, couldnt be much easier to build with room for 4 adults. It would also have the ability to grow with the driver. Start with a 70hp and have a 50mph boat and work your way up as far as your willing to go.

A Tuff 16 would run 40 with 40 HP and could go a lot faster with more power when she gets older.
A VooDoo would be fun as well

The Tough is the other one I was trying to think of. Just saw that video of the one with the Merc 60 and again, a boat that could grow with the driver.
I really dont think of the Tough and 15 Allison as mini boats really. Problem is the real mini boats are so ill handling Id rather see a kid in a bigger boat even if its faster.

Fellas thanks for the comments. Took her out fishing about a month and a half ago in my brother in laws fishing boat. All she wanted to do was go faster. I went to about 45 or 50 and said thats enough. Don't want to scare her. All she did was laugh and when I slowed down she was pissed with daddy!:nonod: So I'm just thinking ahead and thinking I might have a girl with a lil speed in her. If so I better start planning and looking so when the time comes, I'll know what I'd like to have for her. Still be some years from now but it doesn't hurt looking ahead!!! I just have to keep her motivated now and in the boats with me.

When I bought my 13 foot Voodoo, it had a 70 Nissan mounted low and an aluminum prop. It would accelerate hard and hit the rev limiter in the mid 30's. Something like that could work. You could add prop and engine height as she gained experience.
