Put a set of 200 WMH 1A carbs on a 1990 merc 150 that had a set of WMH 1A pumper carbs. Carbs rebuilt, fuel pump rebuilt, new gas in tanks drained yesterday, new fuel lines, new pumper bulb, new plugs will not idle correctly.........compression good, ..........what gives

Did you do a Link and sync? If the plates are not in sync it will not idle well.

Whit this and all your other post gonna be tha bad guy here! If have no clue ya better get an OEM manual or find someone that knows how ta do it or ya gonna end up in worse shape than ya are now. Have ya went thu tha jettin' and such for your particular motor? Is it right? Got any idea where ta start tha "fine tune" screws and such? Jus sayin' it ain't sumin' ya jus decide ta do. Ya gotta be tha "buy scout" n be prepared.............

Jus courious? Why ya changin' 'em anyway?

I do have a merc service manual, and appreciate the forwarning,,,,,had to change them out because the center carb had a broken emulsion tube.......as far as those carbs not being a 200, it was tagged that way at the dealers

Good for you. That's tha best start. Go thru your manual steps. Confirm comp, fuel, fire. Still no start get back on here n start askin' questions again. Those things will be some of tha first things asked of ya.

And believe it or not "Dealers" sometimes seem ta miss a few things........gl

Let me clarify what is stamped, I may have posted wrong.......WNH1, there is a square and inside that is a 1, and beside it is A.......hence that is where I got WMH1A

.......WNH1,

No such thing.....There are only 3 series of V6 carbs thru tha years. WH, WMH, WMV.........

and just a quick note, motor starts up and runs, I just have to keep pushing the key choke to keep it running at idle. on the WMH 1, does anyone know what the factory setting for the "idle mixture screws????" are supposed to be? on both sets I had, it was about 3 half turns.....

wrenchin2 and all others, I appreciate all the input. Sorry I have taken so long to back to this but have had a huge work load. Update, drained all gass from both tanks, new fuel filter and primer bulb. initial start and it fires right up, idle is between 800-1000. Got the chance to put it in the water sat and sun, hole shot is great...... jumps on plane immediately. still have some tweaking to do, just appreciate everyones help
