Would I be correct in saying that the jets in the fuel bowl are the main jets?

Would anyone want to have a guess at what main jet size I would run if they were on a 56ci?

Not a clue. Is it a factory carb for that engine?

They [3] are factory for the mod50, which I think is the old stinger 49ci but the omc buffs may need to weigh in on that one.

Do they have the venturi size stamped in the throat?

not that I saw, not that I was looking for a venturi size but I had a decent look over the carb and didn't see any.

you have to think about the venture size for the carbs.
the 49ci was smaller than a 56cu in motor.
the older stingers were supposedly 75hp, but that was at the crank back then, its about 60 in todays money.
what numbers are on the carbs ? plus if these are old style the lower and middle will be different to top !!!!
later 70hp carbs (1992 onwards) have the plastic tops and largest venture of the 3 cylinder engines. 60hp is a fair bit smaller ( I myself need larger ones for a 70hp)
check the diameter of the throat of the carbs , then check diameter of your intake manifold. if the carbs are smaller they are just 60hp carbs.
and before you ask no they cannot simply be reamed out bigger, the 70 carbs have different galleys in them to give the extra 10hp.
