what should the compression be on a used 225 ho Johnson be 1999 year ????

Around 120 would be close,no more than 10-15 lbs difference highest to lowest...the more even the better,Chris

all 6 are between 100 and 110.motor seems to run fine, no skips good spark seems to hit hard on all cly. but only turns 5200 5400 rpms always turned 6000 befor ??

Kill a cylinder at a time at speed to see if there's a high speed fuel or spark problem on one cylinder only...if all drop the same make sure the timer base is moving correctly,and do a couple carbon treatments.If that dose'nt help we'll look further,Chris
