strange e-mail

I got an e-mail this afternoon from some dude that says he is Dr.Olu Aba who works for the Eastern District bank as manager of United Bank of Africa PLc, says in short that some feller opened an account with his bank in 1980 and kicked the bucket in 1990 and left 26millon bucks US. he claims that he told no one else about this and he trusts me to not tell any one . He says that he wants to transfer these funds to a foregn account of MY choosing and that he will give me 20% he will keep 75% with 5% going toward expenses that both partys may have incured doing this transaction. What a crock of ****, I know this is a scam of some kind and I was wondering if any of ya'll ever get this kind of crap? this e-mail was from "oaba222003"<[email protected]> the actual document was to long for me to put in here verbatum but this will give ya'll the general idea.

never got one myself, but they are on the news all the time. that one, the lotto ticket one I have a winning lotto ticket but can't claim it but i will sell it to you for 20 percent. the "call this number" to claim a prize and its just a foriegn 1-900 number and you pay big!!

I have had two different ones with the same or very similar message. I replied back to one but never heard anything back from it.

They say anything to get your account or card number.

I once had a woman on the phone telling me I was in a contest for visa, matercard, and discover. I was going to win, blah, blah. I had a hard time keeping my composure but I strung her along. When I agreed to give them my number for the contest they switched me to another person....when I said I was not sure about giving my credit# on the phone she got so pissed. Then I told her she was full of %@@# and now people were on their way there. Visa, mastercard, and Discover; what idiots, that is like a contest promoted by Coke, Pepsi, and RC....like they are going to market each other? Duh. Soo stoooopid.:rolleyes:

They are fishing. You reply and they know you took the bait and spit it back out....so they will keep dangling hooks your way.

we have our big Bock fest celibration in town Saturday. Lots of boozing,lots of great German food and lots of chicks partying:D
