Is it normal to see some wear in the block for these rings. Also do you replace them on rebuild? Thanks

Yes normal for them to "eat" into the aluminum block and no you don't replace them at rebuild time. I DO hone them , the average home rebuilder can go to his hardware store and buy a 12" X 12" sheet of glass and some 400 grit wet and dry sand paper lay the ring flat and rub in a figure 8. You will see the ring will hit the high and miss the low. Continue until the total ring surface is contacting paper then your flat...

Any prep work to rings or block when using all new sealing rings?
Thanks
