Our good friend, Transomstand, has lost his God of Rain powers...the 2014 No Name Non Event (aka "the Romp") has seen the best weather that I can ever remember. The good weather, however, brought out many recreational boaters making for a choppy lake despite the light winds on Saturday afternoon.

Here are some of my shots from the loosely organized photo shoot off the Sport Island Pub. Unfortunately, not that many boats showed up...fortunately, those boaters were off enjoying the great weather on the lake.

Many thanks to those that did some flybys and special thanks to SUPERBENDER and JONEILL for having the patience for me to shoot from onboard their boats.

And now, the battle for the best "AIR" shot. In front of my lens (over the years), Superbender is arguably the Air Master...though, there has been many event covered on S&F with equally excellent shots...hmm, GM250's cowl toss in Peconic Bay comes to mind :D

Kevin, those are great captures, particularly like the one of Jamesgang's V-22 with the guys holding on tight in the back seat! If you come up next year, maybe we can better organize a shoot with multiple photogs and someone taking video...maybe get a pontoon to shoot off of...that is, if Pete provides us with good weather again ;)

I really have to give thanks to everyone that helped me get my machine to the Romp.two weeks ago there was no transom in the boat.i put the engine on Thursday with a bay test that evening.
