First, the ONLY reason that i'm selling this Viper is to offset some of the cost of a recent Allison I purchased. The boat is MINT in EVERY WAY, it had never been rigged, no holes anywhere, until I rigged it last March 2013. This is not your run of the mill, wet, soft, cracked Hydrostream. I have a great deal of money and time into getting this boat to drive and run where I want it. The rigging consist of a 2.4 Carbed Bridgeport with some mild porting, 125-127lbs compression on all 6 holes, 1.87 Sportmaster, New everything including: Seastar Pro Steering, Performance Propeller 30 Drag, Livorsi Digital tach, steering wheel, grab bar, 4" HD Manual Jplate, 12 gal fuel tank, carpet, Carter fuel pump, battery, etc... also, the seats have been lowered and can be taken in and out in seconds, SS inserts are glassed into floor. The boat runs on a string and runs 100-101 with the 30 Drag and 102 with a 32 Mazco Cleaver with the full interior in place, in this FL heat.... I have many pic's that can be emailed. Please, only serious inquiries. $9,500 Thanks, Sean ///SOLD/// Thanks S&F

New price - 9,000 Complete with 30 Drag. I will split the package up if the hull and trailer sell first. I have had a couple pm's and calls, but nothing serious. I don't know of any other boat in this condition that will run over 100 for 9k? Hull, trailer, New Sea Star Pro Steering, jackplate, Livorsi dig tach, etc...5,800. Carbed Bridgeport with Sportmaster - 3,500

Glad you decided to keep it. Everyone has their own personal issues, but hopefully if more of us continue to hold out, the prices on these will stabilize. I don't mind paying more for getting more, but I sure hate selling something for cheap because no one will pay a decent price.

For whatever reason i'm attached to it, even though I don't need two boats. I just realize that once it's gone i'd have a hard time finding another. I feel kinda bad, because I bailed out on two potential buyers for the rigged hull at my listed price... so, I just decided to post that it's no longer for sale, until I'm sure, if ever? Crazy, I've never had a problem letting any prior boats go.

You don't "need" even one boat...but the more you have, the more you want! What a great disease to have...

Good choice to keep it. You would never be able to replace it at any cost. That boat is truely a one of a kind, it will only go up in value if you choose to look at it as an investment

It's a very fun boat to drive... Water permitting

Sean,

I've also been on the fence with my Viper over the last year or so to sell and move to a GS just as you did but I found myself in the same conundrum.....reward (cost offset) or regret. Yours I think is probably the nicest original around. If cost offset is that important, then sell the motor, shrink wrap the boat and stuff it in a corner for a while until you get the itch to try and flirt with bodily harm again. When and if I get to that point, that's exactly what I plan on doing with mine......

Ha... The GS is obviously a better all purpose boat. What's weird though, i actually feel as safe running over 100 in the Viper versus 95 in the GS, again... water permitting. As you know, the lil Hydrostreams don't like running up to small rollers diagonally at speed. Other than that, the Viper gives me alot of FALSE security.:smiletest:

I know dilema brother. I just bought a 21 Eliminator Daytona and it's boat #3. My Sunsation 32 Dominator is my pride and joy and I have a 78 Sanger Superjet I restored for my father 8 years ago. When he passed away 5 years ago the boat was handed back to me. The Sanger isn't my kind of boat but my father loved the thing and holding on to it gives me a sense of holding on to his memory so it sits in the garage under the cover. I take it out on Fathers Day as a tribute to him.
That Hydrostream is beautiful!!!! Hold on to it.

Here are a couple pics for ya. 35x40 garage and I can't get a car in there to save my azz! But the boats are clean and dry.:D:thumbsup:

Thanks. Before I bought the Daytona I was hunting for a Hydrostream VKing in that color like yours but couldn't find one around here
that wasn't in need of a complete restoration. Found one that was the burnt orange metallic gel coat but the guy painted it because he didn't like orange. I thought he was crazy!!! That metalflake gel coat is awesome!!!!!!

I am doing well. Last 4 1/2 years was a roller coaster with dad passing away and moms parkinsens disease and dimensia. By the end the diseases reduced her to a miserable existance. But at least she still knew who we were when she died and she passed away in her sleep with my sister and there with her. I miss my parents and they died way to young(age 67), but they are in a better place now.

Sorry. Didn't mean to hyjack your thread.

Well... After a lot of indecisiveness on my end, i've made my mind up to part with the Viper. I've recently acquired a 3.0 for the Allison to keep me entertained. The price is the same as before. 5,800 rigged without motor - 9,000 complete. Not to sound rude, but these are the prices, I will not take less for either. For now, I'm not selling the motor until the rigged hull sells. Also, I'm not going to de-rig the hull to part out. Thanks

TTT...I purchased this hull a 1-1/2 yrs ago with just the loose seats and trailer for nearly the price of it complete currently. I would gladly do it again, rather than deal with the issues that most of them have, especially considering the speed that this one runs, paying a couple thousand more for a like new, safe hull is a no brainer to me. It's ready to go and with some seat time, it'll run 101-102 every time out.
