Japanese man comes into marina speeks almost no english whants to sell his boat remove the cowling and find this v4 johnrude 135 with some kind of modification 1 1/2" pvc pipe elbowed into the intake and out the bottom pan abaout 2 pounds of silicone lol dam thing runs perfect

You just don't hang around the rice-boy car guys enough. That's a Cold Air Intake - on cars they make them out of dryer hose. Good for a 5% increase in horsepower!

Dad's gotz himself one fine pitot type low water pick up .... :thumbsup:
good thing he used them good zip ties ... them lil ones might give way .. an that pipe could swing around on the rubber hose part an cut his water low .. whilst his gear case , foil an prop was gittin a whoopin .. err ... another whoopin ... :eek:

Yea my cone came off luckily it missed the prop. Look closely you can see I solved the problem of it swinging around by using a cable clamp it was the perfect width and length to go over the gear case. This happened the same weekend I met that's right and I can only imagine what he was thinking but it held up very well and give me plenty of water. I didn't push it to hard though I only ran the boat around the rest of the weekend around 65mph:)

Yes I saw that ... I forgot to mention it because I was so mesmerized by the fine job of taping up the side water holes .... :thumbsup:

Before I forget ... Does the bend in the hydrofoil do the same job as having a torque tab on the skeg ... ? :cool: :D

Have you ripped it off yet? No have not ripped it off,but it does run fine.He wanted to sell boat and after i saw that said no...so he rented a slip.
