I just put it in the water today for the first time. Runs strong but couldn't open it up cuz the wife was with me. I'll work on the setup this week. I'll be taking it to the Lake Murray Poker Run June 20-22.

Curious..... Did you use seastar power assist on the steering?

That's a beauty!

The Seastar power assist does not pump enough volume for the side ram steering. I may use the IMCO power steering, but it's about $3500.

Would be nice to have finger tip control!! But with twins you nearly ever need to wrench the wheel into a tight space.

Randy, I am using the seastar powersteering pump with the Imco side mount ram.. I am using a 2.4 helm standard powerpump and 3/8" Imco steering lines from front to back.. I am so glad I went this way.. It is very responsive and can be driven with one finger..not sure if it will work with 2 side mount cylinders .. Some people have been going with the verado pump as well..

I know it works with one cylinder. They just told me that it would,nt work with two.

I took it to my test lake yesterday to set up the engine heights. The boat pulls 110 very easily! Kinda windy and I was alone, so I never stretched every mph out of it. I just love the way it pulls hard to 110 though.

They both run very strong. The main difference is in all the bling. Interior, Paint, and hardware. I need a cameraman to take video, Here's a video of the blue one running.

Looks great

what do you do to the bottom of the cowls under the wingplates to keep them secure?

WILDMAN

I cut slots for the wingplates but they are not cut to the edge. It takes 3-4 hours to cut each side of each lower apron and there's 4 lowers to cut slots in. IT SUCKS !!!

Yea it does suck to cut, but the back where the Two halves meet you don't cut it all the way out? What wingplates are you using?

WILDMAN
05-29-2014, 10:54 AM
I use IMCO. I don't cut them out all the way, but it's pretty tricky to do. I try to make no more that 1/16" clearance all the way around the plate. That's why it takes so long.

I see, ill try that, thanks
i see alot of people just cut the bottom off and it looks terrible

Beautiful boat!!! A whole lot of work into the paint, I like the bowling ball effect you did on the whole side of the boat. Plus this is the first boat with your new step design in the splash well. Along with the new style interior looks great.. nice job Randy!!! Now throw the 36's on and lets see how fast she will run.
