We purchased this big Merc several years ago with the intention of putting it on a go-fast boat, but we never rigged it. It came out of a dealership where it had been traded in and I was told it didn't turn over as freely as it should. I thought possibly it was the gear case, which I removed and both the gear case and power head seem to turn as they should, but I could be wrong. I think it is about a 1997, it is fuel injected and I believe has a 20 inch shaft. The motor looks great and shows no damage. We have never pulled the heads. It comes with concealed side mount control and wiring. Call with questions, I will tell you what I can. Lew 352.446.4971
