I have a Stratos 20' and it has no electronics on it. I've never used a fish finder so in that I'm a beginner but I am a decent river fisherman.

I don't have a lot of money to spend and I'm not looking to be a pro fisherman. I just need something to help me out on the lake.

Can anyone recommend a decent fish/depth finder for around $200?

Thanks so much!

Lowrance elite 4! They have a pretty good imaging and the DSI model with down scan is like 199 at west marine! You can probably find them on Amazon cheaper

Is that similar, or better than the Elite-4x HDI? That was recommended by rating site I found. It's $209 on Amazon.

Yeah the elite 4 has about 30 different variations! You can get them from a basic depth finder to a down scan imaging sonar with chartplotter that comes with navionics chips! It just depends on what you wanna spend! I run an elite 7 HDI on my 25ft Chaparral and I love it! I am thinking of purchasing the elite 4 for my flats boat

The elite 4x HDI is just a beefed up model of the elite4! They are the same machine though. The machine is the exact same the HDI is Hybrid Dual Imaging all it is a different transducer!
