well im sorry to say i have to concede that 40 is just to much for ole red right now we got issues and may or may not make it my hull is takin on water and the igniiton / kill switch shorted out the carbs might be flooding the fuel pump might be going out i need a good mechanic to look it over but on a good note its on the trailer in the garage and mostly full of fuel

I adjusted linkage when I installed new foot throttle setup and it hasn't run right at higher rpm since (yes it's hitting WOT at carbs). I'm willing to pay.. Greatly appreciated

Sorry I know the hull is an 82, I don't know exactly what year the motor is. It's a Mariner Magnum F2, but has a Merc 2.5 powerhead 225 horse. Three stacked two barrel carbs, that's about all I know about it.

Motor was still there didn't come completely off transom broke at the to and down the sides didn't cone completely off kinda hanging. ... I pulled it out with my truck

I saw the boat saturday, SHADOW BASS BOAT, had a 8" - 10" set back jackplate mounted to transom, looked like bolts pulled thru transom, wood was shot and wet, hinged on bottom top and two sides ripped out, motor still attached, older v/6 merc, removed motor, hinged the transom back up with a winch tied to cleat, ready to go...BEEF your boat looked sweet passin bye, what prop were you running, GORDON's boat, very impressive, was only there a couple hrs...

Beef , the picture I saw wasn't yours . Sounds like it could be the boat Don is talking about . I just saw a close up , of the top cap , with the motor laid way back .

Thanks sorry I missed you. .. I had a 24 on it. .. they actually used the tree everyone was sitting under abd strapped the motor up took it off and put it in his truck so it didn't fall off on the way home lol
