I just picked up a ness alien cowl for my 300xs and was wondering if anyone is running one without remapping the computer? I will eventually get a DBR kit just waiting on my boating funds to build back up

Yes, Zero Patience has been running them on his 28' Skater for sometime with no issues.

I recall talking to DBR about this and they said as long as the intakes on each side of the cowl were blocked off, the motor wouldn't end up running too lean on the top end. I would talk to Joe at DBR and get his two cents on what kind limits there are with that.

Mine has the top plate installed in the cowl so plugging the intakes on each side of the cowl I think would starve it for air, I believe I'll just wait before I put it in that way I'm not taking a unnecessary chance
