Got a mildly modified 2.4L 200 with a Ruck lake cut. Running a set of WH-46s / Velocity stacks. There is a noticable lag when we go to accelerate and I was wondering what the possible causes could be. We are running .082 mains and .048 idle airs, motor runs great except for the lack of instant throttle response....any ideas? Could it need more advance on the pickup timing?

Try goin' up (quite a bit) with tha mains. Tha 46's had some of tha biggest mains of all tha wh's outta tha box when ran on tha Mod-vp (oval port)............Think idles were a tad smaller also. Then tweak on tha timin' (index it)........That's a whole lotta coffee stains n burnt cells ago though..

X2 sounds lean did you push the key in when it lagged to give the motor more fuel if it speeds up when you hold the key in while it's lagging and it speeds up you need more fuel!
