I am just trying to educate myself on my recent purchase. It is a 2.4 Bridgeport EFI. I ran the serial number on the block and it comes up as a high performance 2.4. However, it was born as a carb block, not that this is super important. It apparently came back from Mercury Racing 30 hours ago, for it's intended purpose. Having said that, the only other change that I am aware of is this. The divider in the exhaust plate has been removed and some porting done. What is the purpose of this and what does it do different than the stock configuration? Thanks.
