I mentioned this motor in another thread, its not mine (I WISH) It was given to the current owner & He might restore it one day.
I was hoping you guys could i.d. it from the pictures?

This is unfortunately parts of several motors.
1969 mid with a 1970 or later adapter for the standard Super Speedmaster lower unit rather than the original Super BP lower unit.
Merc 1000 and 100 cubic inches are in disagreement.
Some pictures of the fuel pump side of the block might help figure out what most of the parts are.
There should also be a serial number stamped on the distributor boss that narrows down the block itself.

unfortunately the owner would not allow me to remove the cowl. still agreat collection of parts though!

Sorry there is no way to add any more info without knowing more. Not allowing the cowl to be removed is generally admitting there is something to hide.
It is still a very cool rig. Doesn't look like it would take much to make it more pleasing and finished as a restoration. It might even run as is ... change the fuel pump diaphragms, water pump impeller and fire it up!
