Mine is vinylester (according to Peter) and I still don't trust it. I just don't run ethanol and haven't had any issues so far. Doing the tanks is a major operation. If I had to do them, I'd probably just send it back to skater and let them do it at the factory. If Billy is telling you to stay away from it, I'd listen. Guessing the seller is just trying to pray on some unsuspecting buyer who doesn't have the knowledge of how much it is to repair a boat that isn't properly maintained.

dont want to high jack the thread and i know this issue has been discussed over and over the reason i ask is of course my new purchase is a 24 1989 and i was also told from peter no worries there are many people that say peter is the man when it comes to skater here is the question is he telling storys? with his reputation i would find that hard to believe i do not have the luxury of running non ethanol fuel here in mass i use additive to keep it from separating is there any thing else i should be doing?

How do I Know it needs tank ?

Because the port motor Blow from leaning out , Removed fuel filter on the boat and found Fiberglass Fibers in the filter , Trust me I would love to have a skater to And I could get it alot cheap them most people , But Im trying to Help a Fellow Scream and FLy friend As I would want to same for My self .. $10,000 And I still walked . It was $6,000 for both Tanks Or $2,000 for a getto job $5000 for new seats , $3,000 for a good trailer , about $2,500 in gear case work , About $2,000 in tabs , cables , gauges , and about $3000 in steering arms and rust work

So about $25,000 in work Plus $10,000 for the boat So For $35,000 Its not a deal for ME ..... I will take $13,500? I think

Just trying to help you , Thats all i have to say ,,,, Oh and Boat Runs 98.7 With 30 cleaver and 260's Could have went Fast I felt ....

Are you looking for one? There's one here in Orlando, that I know personally...Brendan Power 260's, sportys, new trailer, new rigging when motors were done, and nice interior. Believe he's asking $33k.
