Anyone have an alternative than buying the $100-ish replacement seal kit from them every year and a half? How about a place to get the O-rings? I may run down to NAPA to see what I can come up with. Anyone else do this?

Motion Industries sells the seals and O-rings seperately

Those seal kits are a ripoff. Find a company that specializes in seals(they will have your O-rings too) make your own little spanner wrench and you will save a lot.

Motion Industries is a national supplier for seals and O-rings to most all industrial companies and sell major brands like SKF and Chicago Rawhide. Imagine what a bath you'd get if you blew a seal out at high speed. I have experienced it. Thus why I do not recommend single stage recreational hydraulic steering on a performance boat.

When I service steering rams I install PN 9505K19 (http://www.mcmaster.com/#9505K19) from McMaster, these are $3.21 each and are a loaded hydraulic seal so they remain sealed when not under pressure.
