Thanks man, it is one great truck? Do you have a set for your 2500 Silverado? I think something like mine would go great on yours? Go to the American Racing (www.americanracing.com/ ) and look up something like Slider or Atlas, they are good wheels for your truck. I had Atlas on my Surburban, I have Eagle Alloys on my Venture, and Sliders on my Avalanche... I saw the Monte Carlo SS, WOW, thats a wicked car. I am looking for something like that... Lucky you...

I have had the SS since 89,I dont drive it much. It has 48,000 miles on it and it just sits in my garage covered up. Just gets about 100 miles a year on it now.

I will have to look at they have for wheels for my truck. Try to make it look a bit different than everyone elses;)

Would you mind posting some details? If you ever decide to sell it, give me a shout...
I just sold my 1991 Camaro RS with a little over 5000 KM!

Doesnt sound like you drove the Camaro much either.
Well the guy I purchased the SS from needed a loan for a house so he had to let her go. He had a few dings in the doors and the paint on the trunk deck was checking. So I had the doors and the trunk painted. The first year I owned the car,I polished it 13 times. Just straight line by hand. It really made the car shine with no swerl marks at all. I used alot of different polishes but the best that works on that car is the Meguires #7 polish, followed by #26 paste wax. Its takes about a week of nights after work to really detail it the way I like. in 1990 a friend said I should show the car. I told him he was nuts!!! That the car was to new to go show it. He said he was going to enter his White 88 SS Monte and I should bring mine also. The class was from 71 to present. I felt bad taking a trophy home and my car was only 4 years old. But they all wanted me to keep bringing it to the shows. In the 9 car shows that I entered from 1990 to 1994 I placed in every show. I showed it in the biggest show in the state up in Minneapolis in 93 and 94. That show I feel better about because I was acually up against Grand Nationals, alot of other SS's and cars that are from those years. A few were even trailered in. The one Grand National only had 4000 miles on it. I placed 1'st both years and got so burned out that I just quit. I really like the car though and there isnt one flaw in it. It has every option avalable plus I added a trany cooler,3 core radiator, hypertec chip, 180 thermostat and I installed a full race shift kit that just has to go. It hits way to hard and is getting anoying.4th gear rubber at 90MPH....lol:rolleyes:

I didnt meen to carry on like I did but I hope I answered all your questions.

But I have the truck pumpin out abou 430HP at the rear tires. So its alot more fun to drive now:)

Whats all the mods you've done to it? My Avalanche is only at 285:( I could have to the 345 but I didn't think I needed it as much, so I got that and the Z66 On-Road Package. I'll take that SS from ya. My soon to be Impala SS will get some power to it

Barefoot Bob
03-22-2003, 07:57 PM
My truck is 300HP from factory I've installed the 125HP edge juice module, K&N filter and 4" exaust. Cant wait to blow cars off the street this summer.

The SS has 200HP at the rear tires and would probably run 17 seconds in the quarter.

I am sure the way the truck is set up right now it would run under 14 seconds. It really pulls hard through the gears;)

All I say is SWEET. I want one. Maybe I can work that all up to my Avalanche. All you need is mags... Unless you already have some?:o

Spd-Kilz
03-22-2003, 08:03 PM
The 2004 SS is pretty nice. The thing that pisses me off is that it is front wheel drive. It should have the V-8 rear wheel drive and I would be completly happy!

My dad has American racing on his 2000 1/2 ton GMC and it really makes the truck. Thing is I don find any for the heavy 3/4 ton. My dad told me he would leave the forged wheels on my truck. I do have my 5th wheel on there at times and dont know about the weight.

American Racings are what I have on my Avalanche and they are amazing. I am not positive, but Eagle Alloys makes a whole lot of different rims for all kinds of packages. I'll go try to find the URL but you can try to. I am going to put these on my Rendezvous. These rims are not as good as AR's, but they are very nice;)

We could go on and on picking rim companies. Pick up any magazine and they usually give you 5-10 different companies. It was scary when I looked at Truck Trend and found they haf a Z71 version of my truck, with a new cap, and the identical "Slider" AR wheels. Scared me too much. I guess I've got good choices.:p

Barefoot Bob
03-27-2003, 08:26 AM
With all them choices i'm bound to find one for my truck:)
