Ordered my new motors, should be here in a week. Will a set of 4 blade cleavers get me on a plane faster? What pitch? How big? i'm not too interested in the top end past 95 mph. What speeds should I expect with this set up (30 AMT w/ twin 300xs and 120 gallons of fuel)

White and black #69, it was for sale a month ago. bought it and repowering...were you selling your Doug Wright for 90k? we may have spoken on the phone.
Nice purchase. I actually decided to keep it and we cut the top off and converted to a four seater. We have a couple sets of props all 32 and 33 pitch, 4 and 5 blades. Diameters from 14.25 to 14.75.

What manufacturer? PM me a price for both sets.
I have ran everything from Mercury, Dewald and Herings. All are good in there own way. Your best bang for the buck would be to call Dewald and discuss with him.

Sounds like a sweet project, do you have pics or are you going to post a thread on the conversion?

I wanted to get out of the hole quick. I had Johnny Tomlinson rig and run the boat with herring 5 blades. He did 93 mph with 60 gallons of fuel and 2-3 ft. I know she likes rough water so I never run in the flats. Offshore baby!!
.
Maritime_Eng (OSO) is able to hit 107MPH with almost the same boat as you. He's got a 30' DW
with a thru-hub cleaver 14.50" x 32p 5 bladed Hering
is your Hering round-ear style?

Did you consider the Hydromotive Intimidator Q4 in a 15.5 x 29 ?

I haven't considered other props, I wouldn't mind giving them a try, an idea the cost on a pair?
Thanks, -Mike

I believe $1400 for the pair.My experience is they plane good, accelerate good and run fast.Very durable props.Tail lift, no bow lift. They have others for that.Call 330 425 4266 or hydromotive.com Goodluck
