Rich friend of mine bought one of those cameras for the fun of it the other day .... Pretty cool u can see ur footprints where u walk its nuts .... Their buyn up a bunch of houses around st aug and said it was for inspecting houses ... I thought he was just blowin money but it does show u leaks and stuff u wouldn't normally see ... He said he drove to Tampa and bought it from a dealer 1500 bucks or something like that .

One thing that it does show is that thru prop exhaust is going to shorten gear oil life. She got pretty warm down there only at idle! Gary

I did a job with the DEA where they had FLIR in a helicopter and told us they found a hydroponic grow in an attic of a home they were watching. Got a search warrant, hit the house found the cloths dryer was vented into the attic. No Grow. Owners not happy:D

Nice waste of taxpayer money :nonod::nonod::nonod:

Hope the owners sued the $hit out of whatever departments involved

They did. More taxpayer money spent.

At that point, it's more of "hopefully" a lesson learned in abuse of power and invasion of privacy

The thread going on the board where I found it is interesting. He has shown some other images on motors were he found problems and it really does appear to be a useful tool. Coolant leaks, hot cylinders, blocked water passages, etc.
