I looked and wasn't able to find a picture/info thread specific for the STV Euro's so I figured I would start one out. I just recently purchased a 2000 Euro from Davey W. Post any pictures you have or custom stuff you have done.

My 1997 Summerford " Family Truckster " . This boat has been great for us since 2004 . Not my favorite colors but I will eventually paint it nice. It's a fairly heavy layup but that suits my usage well . Nothing like having a 105 MPH station wagon ! Tons of room in these boats and they are a blast !!

What pitch are you guys running with the 280's. I've been using a 30ET the past 5 or 6 years on my Mirage's. It was originally at 28 but I had Rich Junker work it up to a 30. Was thinking of hunting down a 28ET or trying a completely different prop if those aren't the best all around prop on these boats.

I have a 28 et. 32 and 34 cleaver. All fun just how fast you want to go. 32 cleaver is my fav.

How are the cleaver's with a boat load?

My favorite prop for all around was a 29 Mazco RE 3 , but they seem to lose blades. Less trim required for bow lift compared to ET's . These boats , at least mine , are bow heavy and need lift to fly loaded . Personally I would like a nice 28 chopper with a little cup to try . All depends on what you are doing , river running , lake blasting etc .

32 is a mazco it lifts more than the 34 Merc lab cruising. ET is best with a load on mine. My bottom is a lil different than other Euros I seen.

How are the cleaver's with a boat load?
In my experience, not good. Work well with light load looking for top end numbers.
I like the 29 Mazco as well as the 28 ET. As mentioned, choppers work well too.
Another favorite is a performance propeller 3 blade drag with added cup.

Lets not forget about the 27 and 29 SRX,I would put a 27 or 29 SRX worked by DAH,against any ET,and another great all around prop is the Hoss Hyperdrive 28 or 30 recommend to me by a young pro, lol, Jim Morris, great prop, ive tryed them all, for lake drags 24 or 26 Yamaha drag, for lake drags i prefer the 26, DAH does a great job on these STV props, the best top end prop that took me to 120 and had more was the 32 cleaver 1-1/2 plus above pad, worked by DAH,

So true I forgot about my DAH 29 SRX it had massive trailing edge cup added and ran very well with lots of trim leverage on tap .

Set up is a Factory 15" transom , 15" stock 280, sporty.
Fav props are 30 ET for running around, Top end I run 15"x32 cleaver and 14.5 Labbed 34 cleaver
Boat has been 118 with my and the wife and half on fuel,
Love the boat, runs and handles great, tons of space and plenty fast.
Recently had a makeover with new gauges and rigging, then got 2 new carbon buckets and a carbon inlay on the rear hatch from Jack,
Finally took it to Mike at fineline to wrap it all up.
Cheers

Thanks Man. I don't really know what it will do on top end, I bought it with a 280 on it and I sold the motor so I could put my V8 on it. I just got everything powdercoated/painted and finished re-rigging the boat last summer and I didn't have much time to play with it, but it's definitely stronger than the 280. Over the winter I ditched the omc case and I got a sportmaster for it. I also got rid of the big bore carbs for an Etec front half and an efi system so I can't wait to get it dialed in and play with it.

He has only had it up to around 90 or so with little setup/testing. One day we are gonna jack the motor up and put a big prop on it and see what it will do. Its a nice setup, starts when you bump the key and does great on gas.
