Imagine if a brand new 300X can beat Hoser's 80's technology V8 OMC! What an accomplishment that would be! Jerry, I myself would love to have a 300X on my Superboat but, you really need to aim higher. Even Hoser states that his boat is a good example of properly set-up old technology-nothing more.

Just for the record, Hoser thru the years always had the advantage, V8 vs V6, and Jerry is correct with his statement about his motor being worked. He always stuck it in everyones face how he was King of the Cut. Now some of us just want an opportunity to give it back, I for one have called him out on a number of occasions, and like Jerry says "no show". Yea its older technology, but when he was giving it to everyone he had state of the art equipment, when one crowns himself "king of the Cut" its just like playing king of the mountain, someone is always trying to take you down!

i dont know what you are talking about , me not racing the chicken (hoser) . i am out there every weekend and he is not . last year he was called out and DID show up but only running 88 when he says he goes 92mph . his story was, well i didnt bring my good prop, hahahah if he was being called out why wouldnt he bring the best he had ?? i would love to have his title but he wont show !!!

if its a drag race, boxing match, baseball game or any other sport if the other team no shows thay lose Yes you would have more fun beating them but to hold a title you have to defend it if you dont you lose that title that simple ODBA APBA if a boat won last year but wont race this year there is no chance of that boat retaining the title post dates and times like you have been and let everyone know what happens if you advertise your going out and no one shows then you should claim the title and make anyone who disagrees race you for it there is no reason for someone to claim that there the KING if there not out there its that simple also I have a built pump gas V8 on a heavy 22 VELOCITY no MPH#,s but 88 on a SUPERBOAT is weak for a built V8

Bad accident- Good outcome
Early today John Gazza and his 22 ' Progression blew over at speeds in excess of 95 MPH, the boat rotated 180 degrees, John's instincts appeared to have saved his life. He was picked up and outside of a few minor scraps and bruises, he walked away. We on the South Shore of L.I. are grateful that he is here with us. We do have pics of the boat after the accident and we will post them asap (not a pretty site).

I knew that you were going to jump on John Gazza's accident, the truth is he is one of the most skilled drivers on the bay, and he is one fine gentleman. He is a kind, considerate, and most importantly not boastfull. Trust me he has a lot to boast about. I agree with Wetvette it's not right to bring someones life threatening accident into such a meaningless event.So the guy's afraid to race leave it alone we know it will never happen.Everyone wants the title of having the fastest boat " Well face it no matter how fast you are there is always gonna be someone faster.Just like no matter how much money you have there is gonna be someone with more.Couple years back we had a rivalry between two guys that were in your situation " Yellin back and forth like a bunch a grade school kids on two opposite street corners " Well the day came and one of these guys was not totally prepared (equipement wise) but the pressure was too great he had to show to protect his " So called title' To make a long story short they meet on the water to settle the issue.Halfway down the run the one boat lost control and ended
up hitting another boat .I don't even wanna say what happened
to the innocent people on board.There's a time and place for
races and after seeing what happened it should be at an organized race where only the guy's racing are in harm.Just My
