I'm fixing to get toned up again (p90X and insanity hybrid workouts) and was wondering what you guys drink. I want to drink something healthy but something thats going to give me that extra punch. I've done the shakeology drink for a while but was wondering if there is anything else out there thats worth a flip other than cocaine (kidding)

HP, given the bad rap lately on the caffine ladened energy drinks I sometimes wonder if the coke is not better for ya. :p
There are so friggin' many different ones these days, I have not tried to count them.
I don't drink them much but if I do it's a plain ol' redbull or the 5 hour energy shots.
also, I think I'll wait till new years resolution again this year to tone up,, kinda like the last few years, with a touch of procrastination for good measure.

BTW be careful of over working yourself with the P90x. I read where one guy over did it and it really screwed up his liver.
When I use to bike ride, the night before the ride we would carb up on pasta, tuna casserole, etc... Eating healthy is better than supplements IMO. I use to ride about 120 miles a week on an ATB in the dirt, not pavement.

:iagree: with Paul, eating healthy is better than supplements along with drinking plenty of plain water. I would also stay away from all types of simple sugar foods. Drinking energy type drinks on regular bases will not be a good thing :nonod:
BTW, you would be very surprise how terrible you feel, 0 energy if you are not properly hydrated.

:iagree: believe it or not. Besides the high cost, 4 or 5 years ago when I started hearing about kids in their teens and early 20s getting kidney stones I cut WAY back on energy drinks. I bought two 12 packs of the Monster Zero Ultra (white can) that were on sale over a month ago and I still have 10 left. I also cut out any caffeine after 2pm, I sleep much more soundly and feel better through the day. I may be fat, but I ran circles around my buddy unloading everything from the moving truck last weekend, and that was AFTER waking up at 5am with 4 hours sleep and driving until 6pm.
Best thing I've found is black coffee brewed the night before, then reheated. Almost like tar going down but still tastes better than redbull.

Zero on the energy drinks here. Plain water, run everyday 2 to 3 miles. Coffee in the morning and of course Johnnie Walker occasionally.

I use to do the same thing on my road bike. I got to where my top sprint speed was 39MPH. That was back in the 80-90's, then I started working in the oil field and never had the time to ride like that again.

Dang paul!
That was my peak. I really was into it. I bought a fairly light bike and spent half of what it was worth on Titanium and light weight goodies and dropped a few more pounds. I had to buy large legged blue jeans because my others were too tight. I need to get my ass back on it and ride. Need another set of front shocks though... ;)

That's rolling. Never got near that but then a ATB is a lot different. And I use to ride off road the same reason why I ride dirt bikes: too many idiots on the road!

Actually all the comments on a good diet is spot on, I decided to take 30 pounds off, I have more discs tearing in my back, by just eating better and smaller portions, my energy level has been off the charts, again we could all better access the situation and give even better reccomendations if you simply supplied 1 or 2 bikini photo's, not for our viewing pleasure, but to ensure we gave you good, solid advise, after all we are here to help YOU:D;)

I havent had an energy drink in a couple yrs. I never really got in to them. Came in handy driving long distance but twisted tea works better :D :D :D
Coffee every day at least 2 cups decaf after that 2 drips of milk per cups. Unless its got jamo or buca in it....
I drink quite a bit of diet coke and its friday so its got some additives ;)
I watched a p90x commercial the other morning and started sweating...

No doubt, ATB are heavier and the tires on them aren't designed for low rolling resistance. I'd have rather ride ATB's but there just wasn't the terrain down here for them so I did the road bikes. I got the good sprint speed from doing a lot of interval training but I was always pretty quick sprinter even before the bike, for a white guy. :D
Horsepower, what worked for me was watching my sugar, fat and carb intake plus eating 1/3 less at ever meal than I did before. If ya eat 1/3 less at every meal it's like eating one less meal a day, if ya eat 3 times a day.
If you do that and get good exercise 3-5 times a week you will burn calories. I know, that's shocking news. ;)

A good work out partner will be better than any pre work out supplemement out there. The key is finding someone that is more passionate than you are about getting fit!
I started p90x, and now go to the gym. I am down from 18% bf to 11%. Its 70% diet and 30% exercise. Find someone to push you. Stay away from the energy drinks!
Check out the motivation section of BodyBuilding.com, thats what I do when I need a boost. http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/bbmainmind.htm Scroll down to Female Transformations.

Orange juice. Sometimes mixed with ice tea or cranberry.
Arnie palmers are good too. Arizona or peace tea.
