So I have 260's on the boat and it has 20'' offshore with 2 hole 1.87 CLE lowers on it with manual jack plates with Brucato ACU with 8400 limiters
I can spin 28P mazcos fine to about 7500 RPM, however I am told most guys can spin 32P to the limiters.
I am thinking I have motors mounted to high or something. I also have trim stop pins 2nd hole from transom and burry motors up against trim pin to plane up.
Also btw this pic is old and I have since swapped out lowers and done some other things but manual jack plates and motor mounting were never touched so height is same - this should give some idea
Any suggestions?

What's it supposed to be how and where do I measure from

Measure from the tip of the bullet/nosecone on the front of each lower, then measure from the center of each propshaft on the back (little hole in the center of it). Should be 1/8" more on the front measurements.

Are you on jackplates? I hear skater suggests not using plates
I understand now how to measure this.. Tow out us better than in or vise versa?

Yes I was told by Peter at Skater not to run jackplates, but that was because most Skaters run hard offshore. I run more inshore thsan offshore, so I went with them to fine tune my setup.
You are measuring the distance between the two motors. You ultimately want the front of each motor to be toed out by 1/8" because the force of the props spinning hard will push it back to center. That's the way it was explained to me. In theory, each motor should be facing directly forward to avoid creating more drag, thus slowing you down. Also, measure your propshaft height to make sure you aren't too high, too low, or one motor higher than the other.

I'm not sure, I haven't started working on setup yet. I'm dealing with my other gremlins first.

I ran mine both with and without jack plates... propshafts 1 3/4 above the bottom with the jack plates 1 1/2 above the bottom without with 15" diameter props.
My boat was about 2 mph faster with the jack plates but rode and handled a ton better without them.
Toe in or out depends on if you are spinning the props in our out...
