I had a few people after me to make these cowls as they are difficult to find... I have this brand new one ready to go and another just out of the molds... I do not have the steel base plate for this, but can provide the template. Also the decals are not correct, they are modified XS1750's... the correct ones are available on E-Bay...

$600, plus shipping...

e-mail me at [email protected] for more info...

Thanks for the feedback Dave... I have the donor Bridegport cowl, even the decals artwork all done... I might... not in the immediate future though... Been working on a new deck and hull mold... Hull is done, Deck is done, ready to be pulled from the mold... or is it mould?

cheers

Cool, sure we will see one some day, must be one of the only V-6 Merc's you have not done. Will be as nice as the rest when you get time to do it.

Very nice Mike. Glad there's finally an option. I've yet to see a decent original. My 700X cowl like swiss cheese with a few cracks mixed in.

That is actually an X cowl and NOT an XS. The 650XS was a clamshell with a removable front. There's also a need for some of the fat fronts that the 650XS used. One of my engines is missing one and I've seen several other 650XS's in need of one also. Do you think you might whip out a few of those also?

I wish you'd do the T2X cowls too.

Thanks for the clarification Raceman... don't know much about these engines at all... I do have a mold for the faceplate you are after, (but not a real good one) for the extended faceplates... though not up to my normal standards I made a couple, you are welcome to one if you pay shipping... just e-mail me at [email protected] and I will send you one... if there is a need I could make a good (faceplate) mold...

cheers,

Mike

Do you have a picture of the 700X for decal reference? Now that I know what I have, I will get the correct decals set made... front, side and rear pictures would be awesome if you have anything, even if old and beat up...

Wow thats mint! Mine is almost finished. Love the job you did on my 650 cowl. very nice glass work! I had my machinist make a plate for mine and also right a program for it. if you need plates let me know and i can have him make some up for you. I'll get some pics of mine all together when it's finished.

Like Raceman, i would love to see a T2 cowl.... It would look great next to the retro T3 carbon cowl set you did for me. I admire it every day.

Thanks Eric... I might do a T2, but just never ran into one I could use for a starting point... yet... I had a guy wanting to trade for one at one point but changed his mind... I'm always looking for stuff... if it does, I'll probably make s set of molds...

cheers
